FAST FASHION FIXES - New Designs in Slim Wear

By Valery Lodato

For those of you worried about not looking exactly like a fashion model, or those in a hurry to hide a few bulges, look no further. If you don't have time for the "Melt the Muffin Top" workout featured in our fitness section (pg. ), you can still look great with a few tried-and-true secrets of the past that now have a modern twist.

Here are some fast fashion fixes you'll love--revolutionary shapers and slim wear with benefits. People won't even know you're wearing them, and that's the whole point. To make sure they work, we put them to the test. These body shapers have been Phoenix Woman tested, and Phoenix Woman approved.

We love the SKINEEZ line because these garments work hard while you wear them. In fact, wearing these slimmers is like getting a spa treatment--the garments are pre-treated with tiny micro-capsules, which break open and deliver a cellulite fighting ingredient and moisturizer to your skin, firming it up. After approx. eight washes, spray on the SKINEEZ Slimming Spray inside your slimwear to reactivate the fabric.

Yummie Tummie shapewear is meant to be seen! The romantic and sexy shapers feature luxe lace on the outside and on the inside, a layer of power mesh slims and smoothes. We love the Camie Pantie and sexy Camie Tank.

Look as sexy as our Brazilian counterparts, with the PliƩ Shapewear. We're going nuts for the Control Bottoms and the Essential Tank. The Essential Tank works under everything and is so comfy you can wear it all day and night. We also love how the center gathering enhances
the bust line.

Hip-T is a savvy and oh-so clever layering accessory that's worn around your hips to cover up tummy bulge. These super stylish finds are great for low-rise jeans or pants and they come in fashion-forward, fun designs. We love the tattoo inspired design and the zebra print--perfect to make that old black sweater and jeans combo really pop this fall.
Available in eight sizes, from XS to 3XL.

Looking for a long-sleeved shaper? Slimpressions has you covered. This whole line of shapewear works to contain the muffin top without rolling up or down in uncomfortable ways. We love the long-sleeved "Haves" and "Have Nots," because they also work to smooth arm flab. The mesh armpits rock! They are a necessity for breathability--kudos!

An all-time fave in this department is Spanx. And now, the company has come out with some exciting new colors! The new Skinny Britches are available in 11 chic colors, including Spanx Red, Grape, posh pastels and of course the always popular black and nude. The difference between the Skinny Britches and many other modern day girdles, you get to determine what level of compression you're looking for. You can wear just one to slim, two to shape and three to transform.

Another relatively new addition to the figure-enhancing apparel world: jeans with built in support. We're going nuts for Miraclebody jeans. Their support panels are hidden on the inside, so you can tuck in your shirt and even wear a belt. They come in several sassy styles: boot cut, straight leg, skinny jeans and cropped, sizes 2-16. We also love the fancy pockets--from studs to stylish back pocket stitching.

If tucking in your top is not a priority, then you'll like M'Chic's collection, which includes straight-leg jeans, skinny jeans and capris. These jeans have a nude or black slimming spandex panel that's sewn directly into the waistband becoming your built in shapewear. The breathable panel accommodates all torso lengths, as it smoothes and slims your midsection.
Sizes range from XS to XL.
